Well and Preventative Care
from Birth to Young Adulthood

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends regular well and preventative care including regular child exams and immunizations from infancy through adolescence. Pediatric Partners believes that well child exams play an important role in keeping children healthy. These longer visits provide an opportunity for our physicians to examine your child’s growth and development, and discuss age specific health, behavior and safety issues. These exams often include vision and hearing screening, laboratory evaluation and routine immunizations.

Regular Pediatrician Visits

Having regular well-child visits with your pediatrician and raising the concerns that matter most to you are key ingredients in helping us know you and your child, thus forming a reliable and trustworthy relationship. This continues to be an important relationship as your child enters adolescence to ensure that their health concerns are met. We are happy to fill out school forms during well-child visits and have them available in our office as well as on our website. The parent/student portion of the form must be completed before our doctors fill in their portion.

Check-ups and Physical Exams

We are devoted to keeping children and adolescents healthy through regular preventive care, also known as “check-ups” and “physical exams.” We follow the recommendations and schedule of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Below is an outline of what to expect at routine scheduled visits. You may also visit a website sponsored by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Virginia Department of Public Health. This website features similar information in video and text format.
Our physicians and staff look forward to getting to know you and your child as we work together from infancy through adolescence.
